We are seeking an outstanding Senior Manager, Sales & Client Development, to join our team and drive strong business results.  As a Sr. Manager, you have broad scientific and knowledge and technical skills with a strong understanding of nucleic acids.  You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to present confidently and influence others to action.  You are able to build relationships, manage client expectations, and achieve mutually beneficial results.  You are driven to succeed, motivated by goals and objectives, and resilient. 

About the Role

As a Sr. Manager, you will grow Aldevron's service platform sales by quickly identifying and closing new opportunities.  You will build strategic relationship with leads and clients by understanding their technical requirements and matching with Aldevron's products or services.  You will travel to leads and clients and present Aldevron's service portfolio to scientific and procurement personnel.   You will work closely with Aldevron's commercial and operational teams to implement a defined sales and business development process, and track information in a Client Relationship Management (CRM) software system.

About You

  • 5-10 years in a sales or client-facing role
  • Broad scientific and technical expertise in the field of immunology, cell biology, and molecular biology, with a clear scientific understanding of nucleic acids
  • Excellent written, oral, and influential communication skills with the ability to present technical information internally or externally
  • Ability to develop detailed project plans, prioritize tasks and allocate resources to achieve company and client objectives
  • Understand basic accounting principles including: price, cost structure, gross margin, and profit
  • Self motivated
  • Willingness to work in a demanding, client-focused, environment and, on occasion, during hours outside standard work-day/week
  • Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills


  • Minimum B.S. in a Scientific degree required, preferably molecular biology, biology, biochemistry or biotechnology
